Can't find captain ignoble after he escapes

Im on the planet that Captain Ignoble escaped to.. Is there an easier way to find bounties, or do I have to scour the whole damn planet, surface and underground to find the bastard?

Just walk along a little way, it'll normally give you the compass after a short distance. Unless it happens to be a planet you already visited, in which case you will have to dig.

I thank you for the assistance. I haven't seen the compass indicator, but I have dug to the lava area.

At this point should I exit the quest and redo it?

Mm, quick question: did you find the note and activate it to advance the quest before going to whatever planet he escapes to? What happened with me the first time I played that mission is I checked a computer, which said 'I've gone to planet x', so of course I jumped over there to continue the search. But it turns out you need to find a specific note in a container and read it for the quest to properly update. Did you do that?

is it the peackeeper mission? Use that magnifing glass in the house where youve seen him at last . . there you can find the hided clues on the walls (informations about him) it will track automatic a new mission info. there are more hunting missions . . one was glitched . . some clues wasnt loadet I think . . ive abandoned this mission.

clarification.. I didn't have trouble getting to the second ignoble planet, I had trouble finding him there. I abandoned the quest. And did all the BS, went to the second planner again and saw the compass. Thanks for your help radiosity, and guys.

If the compass doesn't show up after exploring a bounty Hunter planet for a bit, then abandon the quest and restart it.

ive realized . . all planets youve entered before you need to search most times under your landig position left direction half deep under the earth . . Iam using mostly to beginn a mech with 2 drills . . .to locate . . . in the near you will hear the Metro music and you can see the direction if its tracked .sometimes i need 5 min sometimes 15 min to find

This is driving me nuts. I've done it three times and the quest still won't proceed, even if I read the note and turn on the computer. It just says, "Scan for clues" and keeps the compass up...

EDIT: never mind, had to scan the hand.

Can you tell me what "Scan the hand" means?

Edit: Ok if anyone sees this thread and has had the same issue, there might be a handprint on the mirror in Captain Ignoble's cabin that you forgot to scan.
