Lag in singleplayer [not solved but delete pls]
Is there any way to fix singleplayer lag? And yes I am talking of lag and not low fps, the game runs at 60fps the whole time, but what I am talking about is for example: I hit an enemy 10 times and it gets the damage after some seconds first, npcs freezing, dirt not dropping dirt instantly after destroying etc. I stopped playing the game because I found no fix to this issue, now I would really like to start playing Starbound again.. I even checked for fixes on the internet but there is none. If anyone of you has/or had this issue and knows how to fix it, I would be really thankfull to hear it from you. I am playing the vanilla version of the game(no mods).

Notice: This issue is really old, I found threads from 2014 about it.

I don't have a top-tier rig but it surely isn't the issue..
GTX 960 2gb
i5 4460
8gb ram

Things that I tried to fix the problem:

-changing the priority of starboud in the task manager to high
-starting and playing the game while not connected to the internet

Edit: do not reply to this post, it is a year old already and I don't need a solution anymore.

If you would read my thread, you would have known that fps is not the issue, the latency that happens even tho I am playing in singleplayer is the issue. Therefor I have no need to install a mod that improves fps.

try playing offline, starbound has a server running on SP so people can join in without the host having to do much

What exactly do you mean by playing offline? Running Starbound while steam is in offline mode, or just disabling steam friends in starbound options or maybe something else? And I still dont really understand why I am having lags when I ,,host" a server while playing sp.

But I want to play solo, multiplayer is not possible for me now since my internet connection is really bad now and it would only make it worse.

My internet is really CRAP, I had to wait couple of minutes to load this discussions site.. There has to be a way to fix it without playing online.

like if you disconnect from the internet and start starbound, it should be fine. you could also try starting starbound from the .exe.
also are you plaing fullscreen or windowed?

I play it on fullscreen, before my internet went crap I got myself borderless gaming because I have 2 monitors and I like having my games borderless (Yes I had the lag issue before using the program), the game has fullscreen selected in the options.

ok, also also how big is your universe and player folder, it might be that it's lagging because the universe folder /player folder is bloated

I just checked, fullscreen and borderless window is disabled in the settings. The program makes the game borderless for me. If this even changes anything, which I doubt.
