Craft from chests?

I'm sure this has been asked before, but when I search the question it gives me a thousand other things.

It's one of the most basic features in this kind of game, Terraria and Crea both have it for example, but I cant for the life of me figure out how to make it work.

AFAIK, you can't craft with chested items. I'm not aware of any mods that enable it either.

You can't access a chest and a crafting station at the same time in Starbound, so no, you can't craft using items in a chest.

However, you have a whole inventory dedicated to common crafting reagents (it's the fourth tab), so there isn't as much of a need to craft from chests since you can probably carry most of your frequently-used crafting materials on your character.

Not in Frackin Universe - Theres a whole host of new ores, and a whole swath of things like Nitrate, Methane, Oxygen, etc.. I'm overflowing as it is - And putting things in and taking them out is frustrating when every other game in this genre has solved the problem.

Haven't seen a mod to doing crafting from chests, but sorting and management made a bit more efficient...

Works with Frakin' Universe. That is about all I could find, and I am unsure if possible through modding, as that is a segment of modding I don't know at all.
