How can I get Cotton Fibre easily?

Assuming your ship's FTL Drive is repaired and you have enough fuel to do so, just go around "lush" planets and grab it from cotton plants.

If you're not that far yet, there isn't really an easy way to get the stuff. You'll just have to make a farm and wait for some more to grow.

Exploring a couple of lush and forest planets should yield a nice amount of cotton.. If you're lucky you might also find it at a random trader.
