Can I kill bosses again to get loot?
I want the katana from the library but that girl is not there anymore

Yes. Repeat the mission from your S.A.I.L. console on your ship.

That's not normal behavior. The mission specifically said "replay" at the console?

I'll try it now, and no I have no mods and I think I had started the next mission, yeah.

As long as you have completed the related quest entirely, and thus moved on to the next one, you should have no problem with replays. If, however, you have moved on and the replay is still empty, you could have an issue with your install or, worst-case scenario, your save.

If you replay a mission shortly after beating it the mission may not have time to fully reset for the next attempt. I had this same issue when I was farming Dreadwing because I thought he dropped a figurine.

Yeah, I assumed that too, cause it worked just fine a little bit later

Grinding bosses is pretty much the only way to get diamonds so yeah.

I have an easy WORKING way to get the solus katana in starbound...
Step one- While you are in game, hit the enter key.
Step two- Type in: /admin
Step three- Hit enter again.
Step four- Type in: /spawnitem soluskatana
Step five- Go and slay monsters with your brand-new Solus Katana!
