Lack of ores when mining
This is before and after I installed frackin' universe so, kek?

before I installed frackin' universe just mining to find ores would take hours, I once spent 3 hours mining for durasteel and after 3 hours I managed to find and mine only 37 ore, which is about 15 durasteel....I was immensely annoyed.

After installing frackin' universe I ran into the same problem but on a worse scale where finding copper and iron is just a hassle because of how rare it is to find on my character scale.

so essentailly, is there a mod/way to edit how frequent ores appear because im struggling to get back into this game if finding ores is such a pain in the arse because if there isnt a way, then I dunno what im going to do xP

There is the luminous ores mod which makes it easier to find. And theres another mod which allowes you to craft ingots for one ore.
Neither give you more ore, but they make life easier if youre having trouble.

Edit: Oh, and the sonar mod finds ore for you aswell.

Personally I only use the universal deconstructer and threw all the weapons i found into it.

Ore becomes more common and dense the deeper you go on a planet. If you spend a lot of time mining around the surface you wont find much. Or you could go up and find the asteroids above a planet which are often dense with ores, though I'm not sure how durasteel spawns in them.

the amazing thing when I went mining was I went all the way down to lava and still the ore's were still extremely rare to find

Some planets do just suck, some by design like barren planets or some of the special planets FU adds, but some planets just have bad RNG and turn out to be a waste of time to mine on. Sometimes the RNG is crazy good though and you find like 100 diamonds in 10 minutes of digging.

on my previous save and current save, ive been to around 4 star systems of varying tiers and explored all the available planets and the ores man, there just not there D:

I dunno, I was just playing a few days ago with FU and didn't have any issues with ores. Maybe there's another mod messing with them, or it's just a string of bad luck.

Asteroids in FU can sometimes have durasteel, I never found a good belt for it but you could try those as well.
