Even Single Player feels like it has server lag?
While playing Single Player i noticed that i usually get that kind of lag you have in Online Games, where there's delay in things and some times everything just stops (even the map stop generating the area out of screen), If you ever had your internet fall out while playing online you will know what i'm talking about, everything just stops until your internet comes back.

Sometimes it freezes and i can move, but enemies don't move, attacks don't work, map don't generate, it feels like i'm playing in a lagged multiplayer server, does anyone know how to solve this? i understand that this could happen in a multiplayer server, but in Single player? that's odd.

Sometimes when its normal, enemies have some delay like, they walk and teleport back, like they had bad internet connection, which is non-sense to happen in a single player game.

Yes i use mods.

I'm not sure of the exact science of it, but this is because single player "is" techincally a server. It's a bit weird but it's common for games to structure their single player component like this, especially games that implement easy drop in and out, like Steamworks.

But lag shouldn't be as bad as when you actually have more than yourself playing. However, the game itself is currently suffering from bad optimzation.

That's a shame, the lag isn't exactly the problem because most of the time i can play fine, but sometimes everything just freezes and i can't even save the game, and when i enter the game again, i have all my items but i'm on a different place, last time this happened, when i loaded a save game i got back to the first planet i have gone but still had the items i acquired in the other planets.

It's not because it's a server (it is a local server but many games have that), it's because the game is splitting a lot of things into different threads and instead of locking the game when a thread hitches, it allows the game to keep running and the thread to desync and then catch up. Some things freeze while the rest of the game remains smooth and mostly playable. The alternative would be stuttering and FPS drops in those situations. You shouldn't see this happening very often, and if you are then it means the game is struggling to run on your PC.

One of the main performance killers in the game is quests. Every quest you have is basically constantly scanning your surroundings for quest objectives to highlight, it's an extremely inefficient system and a dozen or so quests can cause a massive performance hit.

It could also just be that you are trying to play the game on settings that don't really work on your PC. In most cases you should be playing at 3x zoom, bring that up to 4x if you have a very high resolution. 2x is for very low resolution screens. The more stuff on the screen at once the more the game struggles.

Some mods can also cause performance issues, Frackin Universe adds a ton of stuff and I wouldn't recommend it on weaker PCs. Using a bunch of mods in combination can also make things bad. It sounds to me like you might have a bad mod if the game is just freezing like that, check your logs, or make sure all your mods are up to date and the comments aren't full of complaints about issues.
