Want To Make A Custom Item?
This is a modding tutorial telling you how to make a custom item (An Item that looks like whatever you made it look like and sound like a siund in the assets and shoot what you want from the assets)
For this what will need:
Starcheat
Drawables
A way of editing/drawing pixel art (i recomend googling piskel)
And being able to read this tutorial

Step 1 get an image and open drawables select the image and moove it to the position you want click thesingle line texture code and copy it

Step 2 open starcheat right click an empty space in your character then choose a gun like a durasteel assult rifle then paste the single line texture directive after the .png but before you do that change it from /durastealassutltrifle.png to /assetmissing.png then paste it behind the /assetmissing.png and put a ?replace;ffffffff=00000000

Step 3 change the sfx, projectile and the name (shortdescription) click file then click save then go back on starcheat and be happy

Might come in handy :
You may be wondering why it shoots from a random position well you need to change the muzzleoffset it should say something along the lines of "muzzleoffset" : ["1,0.125"] this meens the x position is 1 and the y position is 0.125 just continue changing this untill you are happy with the position of the fire its just trial and error

Step 4 if you want to change what the gun looks like in your inventory yu need to chang the invicon to /assetmissing.png then paste the single line texture directives after it and slap a cheaky ?replace;ffffffff=00000000

Step 5 this was 4 easy steps to making your own gun thanks for looking at this post you may know me as Becca ingame but i hope his was usefull thankyou

I've done all of this but I've run into a problem. I want to make my own Nurusspear (the ranged shooting one) that has my own png. The problem I'm running in to is that i am unsure where to place the single texture directive as you described it. what keeps happening is that the weapon is just invisble.

well
if you are making the custom version you probably want to go to the nuru spear projectile shooting one then go on animation parts delete everything and change the handle so its "handle" : "/assetmissing.png(pastedirectives here and add a a ?replace;ffffffff=00000000 on the end",

then you should have it
