Starbound Sprite Sheets?
This may be a weird question, but does anyone know where I might be able to find full sprite sheets and tilesets of from this game? I make (when inspired to do so) sprite comics as a hobby, and haven't been in such a mood for a while, but the other day Starbound and Terraria popped into my head as I was thinking of 8-Bit Theater, and the idea of making a comic with sprites from one and or both games popped into my head.

Much appreciation to anyone who answers this!

There are no full sprite sheets in this game. All sprite animations are generally individual sheet fragments. Unpack your assets and you'll find them scattered throughout the entire asset tree.

Thank you! That sounds like what I have for the Terraria sprites I've managed to find a big folder for.

possibly a stupid question, but would it bother or mess with in-game assest if you unpack them?

I don't know if it would, but one could always uninstall and then reinstall to possibly fix it if it did, could one not?

I haven't played it in a while, so it's not currently installed on my comp, but I have been thinking of reinstalling it lately to play around in it a bit. (2d pixel games like this I do have more fun in then say minecraft after all)

You can find them online. people have made them. How up to date they are though is another question.

I did a little mod action myself so I needed all the block textures to see what I have to use, well thats another story...

It doesn't, don't worry!
Just move the file with the unpacked assets to another folder and you are good to go :)

Unpacking only messes with the game if you keep an old unpack after a patch - for example, if you unpack 1.3.1 and try to play with that unpack after 1.4 releases. You just need to remember to delete your unpack every time the game is patched and you'll be good.
