Mech Assembly Station on ship?
I think I heard that I got the receipe for the MAS(after doing the 2nd Mech missions), but where do I actually craft it?

It's not in the Arcitect's Table as far as I can see..

It's in the outpost, or you can build one in a space station.

You might have mistaken the crafting recipe unlock for the Missile Rack Mech Arm (which is the reward for Parts and Labour) as being for the Mech Assembly Station instead.

Oh, I just heard "new receipe" and something "mech", so you might be right, and it might be only avaliable on a space station. Thanks for info!

No, people does have the Mech Assembly station on board their ships, I've seen it to two youtube videos now. No one knows where it's made?

I think the only way is with the /spawnitem command.

Oh ok, I'm not gonna do that. But ok :)

You don't build the mech crafting stations, you build a room in your space station which contains the mech crafting stations.

Yeah, that's what someone said. I ended up spawning in a mechassemblystation though, more practical to have in the ship. Traveling from ship to space station or the outpost will probably be kinda the same hassle, and so now I have one in my ship :)

Do you know what the station costs? I'd like to "pay" for it by deleing the amount of mats it requires, so it doesn't feel as cheaty.
The restriction of no free placeable the Mech Assembly Station or Mech Part Crafting Table is one - only one - of the things in this update, that finally, by now, after all these years of development, make me believe, that no one over at Chucklefish is an actual gamer. :f2_unsure:
First they restrict us only to one meck. Fair enough.
But then forcing us, to either beam to the outpost, or any station with a mech section every time you want to switch any component...while they were perfectly knowing the mech can only be deployed from the ship, is plain inconvenient. Only a person, who doesn't play this or any game, can consider such a waste of time and clicks a good idea. Guess they just want us to use /admin command over and over again... :durkin:
Wouldn't be a true Starbound update without such peculiar points after all. By now a lot of old players, including myself, are actual used to this. It never stopped me from playing. :winkkit:

There is a mod that allows you to craft the stations you use for your mech. I've seen it on the Workshop.

Also, could always try to see if anyone found that ID for the stations so you can spawn them in. That is, if you don't mind using admin mode.

I found just that:
/spawnitem mechassemblystation 1
Should give you one after you /admin of course.
