Titanium - rarest ore?

I have hard time mining titanium.

Going straighforward to planet with it will either fill me with A LOT of tungsten ore or A LOT of durasteel, while there is always a LOT of silver and I get only A LITTLE of titanium..

The ore scanner seems to have problem to distinquish between titanium and silver (it's the same color), so far I can only tell by the "form" (formation): much of white means silver..

Why the hell is it so hard to farm titanium? I had no problem with other ores, usually returning with 400+ back.. Titanium is never much more than 100 and I am thousands (stacks) of silver bars while trying to get titanium...

Is there any good tips of getting it? Special type of planet or certain tactic?

If you're close enough to an ore vein and you don't know whether it's silver or titanium, throw a flare. Its light pierces through blocks, illuminating veins in the vicinity and allowing you to avoid silver veins. (If you don't have flares, you can use torches as a substitute.)

If you've unlocked Ursa Miner and you've fetched at least one artifact, you can use your spare pixels to buy Titanium Bars at that shop on the Outpost. You can even run your over-abundance of Silver Bars through a Refinery to generate the Pixels you crave (you don't even have to baby-sit the Refinery - it continues to run even after you exit the interface).

That is a good tip, thanks, though the price ratio is poor, 100 silver ores to 1 titanium bar..

Use the illuminated ore mod, it helps find ores. And if you get a bunch of silver and not titanium just sell what you don't need to buy from the bears

Mining tier 3 planets helped me a lot finding enormous amounts of titanium. Just go for Savannah or Snow and forget about the higher tiers, this got me 2 stacks in like 90 minutes
