Shield Generator Not Protecting Blocks.
So I started building a base on a lava planet with a shield generator activated nearby to protect my blocks and stuff, and a giant metaer came down at some point and destroyed a large section of my base. So im confused as to how the shield generators are supposed to work. Can someone explain, please?

I was always confused about this also.
first of they are pretty buggy, and whilst it sounds dumb, are you sure the generator is also turned on?
Generators seem to protect a "dungeon," usually the underwater city or apex lab they spawn in. They've been modified a few times. I used to have an Apex base as a high security tic-tac-toe facility, but then they made some tweak that cut the wires. Now the wires are back in the Hylotl cities. Any time I've tried to spawn a generator and use it, the meteors always break stuff anyway.

If you use /debug, the fourth or fifth line down is the DungeonID, which is usually around 65535 (which, curiously, is the amount of ports on a device. Huh.). You need either one shield generator in each dungeon area, or you can use a command. If you enter "/settileprotection [DungeonID] true/false," (minus the quotes), you can manually create a generator effect.

Neat, I'll have to try this out.
