No there's no way to find it again. It looks like you have to rely on memory to find it. :steamsad:

Your ship leaves a trail when travelling through the systems. Backtrack and you should find it.

Other than that you can go to the game files and try each coordinate set.

Both methods are a pain if you explored too much.

That is...
that is unfortunate.
Try to remember the details of the planet.
-What star system was it orbiting?
-What planet type was it?
-How far away from the star is it?
If you can remember all of those, that'll reduce the amount of planets you have to go through drastically.

Hopefully I'm not too late for this.

I think I have a solution for your problem. Here it is:

Go to your universe folder located in:
E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound\storage\universe

There, you will see some world files which are named in large numbers.
The first two numbers (and the small last one) are actually the coordinates for each planet the file contains.

You need to sort the universe folder by date.
(I assume that you have visited your colony quite frequently). This allows the world files with the most recent changes to appear at the top of your folder. Your colony world should appear as one of the top ones. (It can be further down if you have visited more planets in the meantime.)

Now, you need to copy the first two numbers of the top file and write them into your ships navigation console. Travel to the planet. If it isn't your colony, visit the next one and if the next one isn't, well you know what to do.

Search from newest visited planet to the oldest visited planet.

IMPORTANT:
-If you type the coordinates into your ships console, it will show you the
system the planet is in.
You need to remember the biome of the planet you build your colony on and need to use the smaller last number at the end of your planets file name to search it. This also explains why you will find files with seemingly the same name. Remember no world file is the same.

Example: A system has two planets. Planet one is numberd I in the console.
The world file would say 1. The next planet has a moon. The main planet will be shown as II in the console and 2 in its file. Its moon however, will be shown as IIa in the console and as 3 in its world file.

Start from the sun and go from there to the most outer planet of the system. The small number doesn't match up with the planet number that your navigation console shows you.

Hints:

-To make it easier and faster for you, run the game in windowed mode and have your universe
folder open.
-Remember the biome of the planet you build your colony on.
-Before you start doing any of this, look at your ships navigation console. Maybe you have
bookmarked your colony there as well.

I hope I explained it well enough. Hopefully you will find your colony again.

Good luck! :grinsam:

Adding onto the tips already given. When you find the planet your colony is you should take note somewhere the coordinates for the planet. Will help in finding it again if you delete its bookmark in the future by accident.
