How's the end game compared to Terraria?
In Terraria, after you defeat the last boss, there's not much goals, except build a better looking base, etc. How's Starbound on this topic?

And it's long enough to get to the end game?

Thanks!

Same, except Starbound only takes 5 - 6 hours to beat, and that's stretching it really.

I'm not sure what you mean.

6 hours to beat the entire game? That's really short...

To beat the story and obtain the best armor (armor tires are how you become more powerful, there's like 4 or 5 of them). Not much else to do besides that except build a big colony I guess. That can take as long as you want it to take but it's... dull.

So you unlock almost one tier of armor per hour? Sounds crazy...

Experienced players that know exactly where to look for ore can probably get the best armor in two hours. Armor boosts all your stats in this game, that includes weapon damage. It's actually a pretty good system, since it allows every weapon to be competitive (whereas in Terraria, 90% of weapons are useless by the time you reach the Moonlord) but progression is way too quick for it to be effective.

From what I can tell, most of Starbound's endgame is in multiplayer. There are a metric ♥♥♥♥ ton of dedicated servers which last I checked had a decent amount of players on at any given time. Also, one of Starbound's selling points was the player "making their own story," so something tells me the actual story mode was tacked on (the devs even highlighted a mod that lets you skip it entirely).

Oh look, it's the butthurt fanboy who thinks everyone who doesn't turn a blind eye to Starbound's problems necessarily hates it. And who spams the forums with autistic crap like this: http://steamcommunity.com/app/211820/discussions/0/133259227518140694/

But you think there's enough content to SP only? Like more furniture then Terraria to decorate the ship, etc. etc.?

Just found out Anarchy is most likely a troll, as 90% if his reviews are negative.

As has been stated in many similar past threads, Starbound's focus is exploration and creation. Most of the creative tools are unlocked early in the game (unlike Terraria) and the combat and bosses really aren't terribly difficult once you've figured out how to do so. That said the randomized Ancient dungeons unlocked after the last boss is defeated, can be challenging. As they're set to be one tier HIGHER than the highest tier armor and weapons you can acquire. But keep in mind the rewards for completing said dungeons are build rewards. (again because building, socializing and exploring are the focus in Starbound) I love both games. But if puzzling out Boss Fights the way Terraria makes you do is what you're into Starbound probably won't scratch that itch hard enough.

Would you say Starbound building is bigger then Terraria? Though I liked boss fights, they were not my focus on Terraria.

I'll second the differentiation Jay is making. And I want to say that yes, Starbound building is bigger than Terraria. Terraria is no slouch, but I can identify a number of systems in Starbound that have a lot more.

1. Number of biomes. In Terraria, you have one planet/world with a wide variety of biomes. In Starbound, you have something like a dozen different kinds of planets, thousands of them within any given galaxy, and various biomes and weather patterns on each one. So already you have a bigger choice in terms of WHERE you decide to build. It makes a difference, too. If you decide to build on a lava-ocean planet, you'll have to take some extra care in building.

2. Farming and cooking. There are hundreds of recipies based on dozens of ingredients.

3. Pets. You can capture dozens of different kinds of creatures, a la pokemon balls, and tether them to the ground to walk around in an area. Or, you know, they can fight for you too.

4. Tenants. Yes, you can attract towns people to your buildings in Terraria. It's a little more involved in Starbound. Different room items will attract different kinds of tenants. A lot of plant items will attract plant people. A couple chests and a table will attract a merchant with a random pool of items. A cooking pot will attract a chef. A few gothic items will attract a robot who thinks he's a plague doctor. Also, you can do quests for these tenants and even hire them to join your crew.

That's the short non-exhaustive list. All of this expands exponentially if you get into mods.
