Floran hunger

I'm not sure if it's something that was added with latest patches or something but...I wasn't playing in Starbound in a while and when I loaded my character my florian got a new status icon which says "Floran hunger". It's and bloody eye on a stick. I think it may be something that was added to Frackin Racec/Universe, since these are the only race mods I use.

Anyone can explain to me what the hell this thing means?

This my friend, is coming from the mod Frackin' Races, rather than base game.

As for "what it is", it seems Sayter is constantly working to make changes to his mods and in this iteration, it is something that impacts how Floran hunger gauge functions slightly differently from other races in that you consume hunger per attacks made, and you lose hunger gauge during night while you perform photosynthesis and regenerate hunger bar on your own during day, and things like that.

Oh....so it's no longer boosting up health regen during the day?

It still does. It may be a buff generated for him to add newer effects as last conversation I had with him on a discussion thread revealed he is planning to do overhaul on certain races. To what those races may be, I do not know.

And yes,everything is updated on the race "overview" in the character creation. I hope that this whole "normal attacks consume food" are not going to be too heavy on that. It's going to be really annoying during night hours or on-let's say- planets where is perpetual darkness. How in the hell Florans now are to survive on, let's say, mettalic planets? : d

Plan your trip and pack on food that won't expire soon. Maybe build a camp site you can return to in a jiffy. Place a flag and teleport back to the ship, then teleport back down.
