Gas Giant planets?
Alright, so I found a Gas Giant planet while running around, but I'm curious to know if there is currently a way - or a way is planned - for gas giants to be visitable.

Not visitable.

Can't land on a gas m8.

Their only purpose seems to be having moons with atmosphere that work like moon-sized planets.

Agreed. Gas Giant's moons are usually Planets, not Moons where Erchius Ghost haunts.
I have seen Gas Giants that have not any moon, though.

So it's unknown if it's planned to be a thing in the future?

I mean, they can add something like that... But I dont think they will, because as in reality and as it says in the game, the pressure would kill you =|.

Yes, but in reality, so would being anywhere near a radioactive star. Clearly the game isn't particularly interested in being realistic.

Indeed.
You can make EPPs, so why not make Gas Planets landable?

"You cant land here, the extreme pressure and high wind speeds would tear you apart!"
Also, with frackin'Universe mod installed, there are gassious planets with gas dense enough to land on :P But gas GIANTS... thats a ticket straight to your death xD

I was thinking it might have been similar to star systems in that you needed to have a certain item to hit up gas giants. Honestly though I could see them allowing it but making it so you have to have a flying vehicle to get around. Another thing I'm unsure of being in the game or not. But if it isn't it'd give them the chance to fix that.

About the radioactive star thing, it would only irradiate you from direct sunlight contact, and im pretty sure planets near radiactive stars in-game can sustain life, thats because the atmosphere is clearly thick enough to keep out unsafe amounts of radiation, or the wildlife adapted. or just that everyone on the planet is wearing around EPPs hidden behind filled vanity slotds xD

It would probably be an instance in which life specifically adapted to the setting. Cockroaches can survive in radiation from what I understand, so it's not all that farfetched for there to be other types of life that would have evolved a means of surviving or even depending on it.
