Two-story Housing for Tenants
I'm trying to give my NPCs more room by adding a second story to their housing. On another planet, I've made housing similar to this just fine. But for some reason, here they don't like the platforms. If I just remove the platform and put any sort of tile in its place, the housing is suitable.

Are you sure its the platforms themselves that are causing the problem? Make sure you've filled in all the wall behind the fridge. And are the other 2-story houses you've made smaller?

It might be too high for them to jump? Sometimes my npcs refuse to jump if the ceiling is too high, even if we can make the jump!

Well, I did have stairs up to that platform, but removed them trying to isolate the problem. And the wall behind the fridge is filled in. I also had the table and chair on the first floor, and just replaced the platforms and then the housing was fine.

Oh, and my other homes were made of different materials, but had the same kind of design.

If the platforms are less than 4 planks across it sometimes gives them fits. Also hatches can make them lose their minds.

Did you change an existing tenannt's house or is this a new house? They hate it when you change their room too much.

I tried editing an existing house, but the tenant threw a fit so I removed the colony deed and tried again. And oh! Thanks for the platform idea. In my other home, the platforms were a little wider,

It's because the window on the second floor is missing a tile.

The window above the table does appear to be missing a tile, not sure if it is or not, but if a tile is missing then this is the problem.
