Some Sounds Cut Off
I play the game (& CDS 2) and there are sudden cuts with voices & certain weapons like the M16. I'm assuming it's probably the Realtek HD Audio driver. Is there any way to fix this or is there any alternative drivers I can try out?
Thanks.

I didn't even know I had this complete version game from a paper magazine from about a decade and I gave it a try and I was having the same problem with Realtek HD chipset as well (it is an embedded PC).

I didn't want to change system settings, but there is no option so, the fix, the usual, go to Windows control panel, audio settings, performance and set it to basic acceleration.

I don't know the exact place for all systems (or do it through the Directx dxdiag tool > sound tab (from Run Windows dialog))

Anyway, that worked for me... mostly. There would be still some cuts in the audio/sound, though, but voices would be heard. That is one of the most annoying things of this problem/bug.

Windows 9x compatibility didn't work :/

Regards.

Wow that's very interesting. I wonder if that game from the paper magazine you have is the same version as the final version or not but I'm interested in knowing more about that! I've been hunting for some promos or hidden gems that have some cut content or might help more with modding CDS 1 and 2.

About the sound issue though, there are these files that helped solve this issue. If you want I can share them to you.

Sorry the late reply. I totally forgot about this and as I don't have the Steam Client (Windows XP), didn't notice til today XD

I had logged in here in the past but something was broken as I wasn't notified :S

It has nothing special, it is a DVD with mixed content of the magazine digitized and other shareware stuff.

Nah, if publish, do for all, not only me :) For me it was enough the Windows sound tweak to have fun for a few days :D (more than expected)

I just had to tell about this "fix".
