I didn't want to change system settings, but there is no option so, the fix, the usual, go to Windows control panel, audio settings, performance and set it to basic acceleration.
I don't know the exact place for all systems (or do it through the Directx dxdiag tool > sound tab (from Run Windows dialog))
Anyway, that worked for me... mostly. There would be still some cuts in the audio/sound, though, but voices would be heard. That is one of the most annoying things of this problem/bug.
Windows 9x compatibility didn't work :/
Regards.
About the sound issue though, there are these files that helped solve this issue. If you want I can share them to you.
I had logged in here in the past but something was broken as I wasn't notified :S
It has nothing special, it is a DVD with mixed content of the magazine digitized and other shareware stuff.
Nah, if publish, do for all, not only me :) For me it was enough the Windows sound tweak to have fun for a few days :D (more than expected)
I just had to tell about this "fix".
