007 Legends: A Review

I've always been a James Bond fan for many years watched every movie and played almost every game, but Bond's latest game is nothing but a disaster ... at least for the PC users.

Where to begin, well the video options, more like no options at all, all you get is adjustment for gamma, brightness, and resolution. Nothing that lets you customize the graphics for optimal performance. The graphics alone looks normal nothing that screams high end or anything.

The game covers Five classic Bond films (Goldfinger, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Moonraker, Licence To Kill and Die Another Day) with the Skyfall missions being featured as an update. They follow the movies loosely and what I mean by that the missions are all modernized and feature a different take then from what the movies showed.

The game alone is not bad, in fact it's a rather enjoyable experierence.

The game's story is solid with pretty good voice acting and most of the original cast reprised their roles for the games characters.

Where the game fails completely is the controls, I've always been more of a controller over keyboard kind of gamer, but the complete lack of controller support makes the game feel weird and very uncomfortable. The basic controls aren't too terrible, when you get to the melee QTE (Quick Time Event) parts is where the game takes a dive into the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, first the melee buttons are (T, G, U, H and doge with J and K) those buttons so close together sometimes you end up hitting the wrong key and taking damage, then you may have to switch over to the mouse and or the space bar, which is not bad, but may catch you off guard and cost you.

All in all I feel that if they have just worked out the control issues for the PC version, and maybe added a support for wired Xbox 360 and Playstation controllers. It would have been a lot better.

That being said I give 007 Legends 6.5/10
