If I'm not mistaken, you get a sword as a "random" drop before the 2nd encounter with the demon...
Do I just basically evade everything, then? Because that seems to be my only option at the moment...
Did anyone else have to do that? Haha.
It's on a corpse in the middle of the hallway, you literally can't miss it.
If it's not glowing, it can be hard to see because this is a pretty darkly-lit game... not making excuses for myself, just trying to reason why I would miss that :(
Steps from the beginning:
you start,
1st bonfire,
run from big demon,
2nd bonfire,
and then - corridor with bowmen at the end - in side room you get your class shield on corpse, and in the end of corridor, from where bowmen shoot you at first, you get your class weapon on corpse.
Perhaps just a minor glitch... I'm also having this small issue with my cursor constantly being on the screen, but I got around that by just using straight up keyboard for this game (which works better anyways).
Well, thank you for solving my issue, anyways. Everything is fine now; stuff dies quickly before my small blade!
If you have the money to spare, it's really worthwhile to play with a controller.
You have to run through there. Not take him head on with the broken sword. You come back and kill him in a minute or 2 after you get your sword and such.
Anywho, Is this the "first" time you've entered that room? (As in, entered from the door?) If so, go towards where the demon jumps down, and head left. There'll be a door through there.
I'm actually seriously considering this option. It's only around $20 to get a USB XBox 360 controller for Windows 7, and I have several games that I'm positive would play better on a controller (Assassin's Creed Series, Mount & Blade, Overlord, Prototype, just to name a few).
You won't ever catch me FPSing without my keyboard and mouse, though. If it requires me to aim to any degree, damn the controller! Haha.
Haha, no problem.
But if it wasn't glowing... that's a very strange glitch, never saw that happening before.
And as others pointed out, download DSfix, very easy to use and absolutely essential. Namco should hire the guy and include it in every download to be honest.
