Save file from xbox to pc ?

Hello,

I've played a lot on my 360, but i consider buying the pc version. Any ways to transfer my xbox save file in order to continue my journey on pc ?

It seems to enable the transfer of save games from 360 to pc, allright, but will it work in this particular case ? I mean, do all 360 save files work with pc versions of the games ? It'll be crazy...

Have you checked out the link Harley?
It may work, although I wouldn't know, since I haven't tried the program I linked to, yet. Maybe it is not possible to do with some games? Are you certain it won't work?

Again, I haven't tried the tools and won't be able to since I don't own a xbox, although I am certainly willing to do some more googling to help you figure this one out :)

I wonder : xbox 360 is the same as Windows Live, isn't ? So i should be able to just load my cloud save either in a 360 or a pc. Just dreaming.

I've been doing some reading in those posts and I think this might be the case. Would be funny if there were all those threads and you could simply load the same save from any xbox, pc alike.

Do you have a friend who owns the game on both, the xbox and pc and thus you could try? Maybe there is someone here, on these forums who has an xbox version up and running and a pc version too and could confirm this?

Yes, it would be clever if it works. If i was a Game editor, i would be happy to have guys who bought TWO copies of the same game, in these times of piracy :-)

Hmm, so officially the guys at Microsoft behave like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ once more :D

The second suggestion sounds somewhat like the first suggestions I made with the Game Editors. I think it could be your best bet to figure out how that works and try it. Shouldn't be too difficult to do in principle. But may not work, still.

On the other hand it would be annoying for you to buy the game on PC and then not to be able to do what you want. Maybe you would be able get an unofficial statement out of someone at GFWL support or Bandai support. Sometimes they know more about what has been attempted by people and if it has worked (although you have to be incredibly lucky to have someone who doesn't just copy and paste answers).

know this is a rather old thread but im just starting to look into trying to transfer my dark souls 360 save to my pc. hopefully things work out for the best ill try and remember to give updates but this thread has been helpful ty guys

so how did it go anything that works?

everything i can find says it will not work and i think i tried about everything and nothing worked. granted transfering a saved pc dark souls file to the 360 worked out pretty nicely for modding your game and having some fun for a bit.

I wish you'd explain where you found the method to transfer a PC save to 360, looked everywhere, even tried to but the PC has GFWL savefile and its a bit different than a normal 360 save.
