Yup, winner gets a Dragon Scale, which is used to either upgrade a dragon weapon or deepen your commitment to the Dragon Cult itself.
I usually put down my dragon eye when I'm farming and I see the shadow of another player. I then know there is somebody around my level nearby and so I put the eye down and see if they bite. Works more often than not. I'd like to leave it in convenient places like near a bonfire or something, but often times my farming causes me to cross old fog gates which makes the mark disappear :(
But yah, Path of the Dragon is probably the least intrusive PvP centric covenant. We completely give up the element of suprise and home field advantage. Hell, we risk being pulled into a gank squad. Give us a fight from time to time, you may be pleasantly suprised. Just understand what your getting into, I don't want to be summoned by another PvE centric player only to piss them off when I engage in the PvP I'M expecting.
