how to soul steal with dark hand
ive been trying on invaders and it just hurts them, do i need to hit them in the face?

...fairly sure you can't steal humanity from invaders, i think they count as undead or something. try using it on npc's or go invade somebody else. or it could be they don't have extra humanity or something.

It only works if they have humanity and you're the one invading.

Equip it in your primary (right) hand. It also works on select NPCs, such as Griggs of Vinheim (sorcerer) and I believe Laurentius, who teaches Pyromancy.

You can grab them from any direction, since it requires your "strong attack," which doesn't backstab.

IVE DOBNE THE STRONG ATTACK BUT IT JUST DOES A LITTLE DAMAGE, AND DOESNT GRAB THEM

It actually does work on invaders. It's just so damn slow.

Wondering how soul-stealing works? The player just needs to have humanity to steal. That is all. Doesn't matter if you're an invader, defender, white phantom helping another player. DOES NOT MATTER. -> http://youtu.be/a-Ff9yhoU-I?t=2m52s

That's me playing on 360 with a friend as his summoned white phantom Darkwraith. We took turns soloing invaders most of the time.
