Any way to beat the game without killing Sif?

No way to not kill Sif. Only way is if you can somehow cheat.

Dark Souls its not what you would call a happy game, you need that ring so you can beat the 4 kings

I heard that you can just jump past Frampt and down into the area where you place the Lordvessel to skip Four Kings, is that true?

You need the Lord's soul fragment that the four kings have to open the prison where is gwyn

Damn, that sucks. Ugh, I guess I have to betray my last friend in the Dark Souls world. I already had to kill the Crestfallen Warrior, the pyromancer dude, and eventually Solaire. *sob*

you do get to save sif later though but its back in time.

Actually there is one way. You could always borrow the covenant of the abyss ring from a friend. Then Sif can live and you can beat the game. Probably didn't make it in time but if you do a new game plus keep this in mind.

Covenant of Artorias cannot be traded with other players for obvious reasons.
