Velkas rapier or Moonlight Greatsword for a Int/dex build?
I will have a greatscythe/other dex enchantable weapon in one hand and one of the above in the other. Discuss which one is best suited for PvP.

Probably velka's since you can parry and poke with it. Also it's lighter.
Moonlight will block and swing. The swing won't even followup like how it does in right hand. It's a lot slower in left hand.

Note I wil only be using these weapons in right hand. Left hand is TCC and Bloodshield/crest shield

I would stick with velka's. It's lighter. It's 16.5 vs 12.5 weight in weapons. Not much room if you want to fast roll with poise and have enough INT to do some damage. If you want to use moonlight, use that as a main like your DEX weapons. Also if you happen to parry someone, that velka's gonna hurt.

i got a sl 80 sorcerer, dex/int build wearing sorcerer outfit, big hat, using ring of favour and bellowing dragon crest rings, velka's rapier is a must, but with the moonlight sword equiped i can't fast roll, so would suggest using either a great scythe or uchi just to keep the weight down, velka's rapier twinned with your intel and the hornet ring instant kill on most enemies

Velka's all the way. If you have a wider range weapon, the g. scythe, that has great lateral moves, dead angles and is strong as ♥♥♥♥, you have its counterpart in the velka's rapier. These two are great... Further more, the velka's backstabs or parries do great dmg.

Can't make a suggestion from first hand experience using either, but can speak from the other side: Velka's tends to give me a lot more trouble

What about Moonlights special? I have seen that be used very effectively.

I won't be fast rolling if you guys need more info. I am using black iron les and gauntlets +5 and sunlight chest +10 which gives me a mid roll atm.

I have a medium roll, and the moonlight special is telgraphed enough that even with a medium roll it's usually easy to avoid, and I'll usually switch to the crest shield as soon as I see that weapon anyway. Crest shield makes damage from that attack minimal... a tiny bit of hp loss and some pushback.

Something about Velka's moveset, the timing seems just "off" in a good way, tend to get caught by it when I'm not expecting.

simple: no mlgs for int/dex as for that weapon u stay @ str/dex 16/10 to waste no stats. only thing u level from there on is int for the stat scaling....
mlgs 2h r2 is fun to use and you can also do that at 11 str

From what I'm seeing:

Moonlight is great when the enemy cannot avoid. For exampl,e a thin walkway on sens fortress.
Velkas seems to be better for Open PvP
