Best Light Armor (Worth Upgrading) ?
What do you guys think is the best light armor set with good poise and protection that is worth upgrading ? Or maybe separate parts from different sets....

What you want to try and do good sir, is if you want to mix a set up for PVP, you will most likely want the wolf ring for the 40 poise, and one heavy armor peice that you find provides great poise at little weight. Or, you would wear two havels items, gloves and helm or boots, and go the rest naked.

Just PVE, i have little interest in PVP, my main concern is that i want something light to keep rolling fast.

For my light set, I use Ornstein's Armor. Havel's Ring makes sure I stay under 50% equip load so I'm not slowed down.

This page shows the stats for the set.[darksouls.wikidot.com]

Shadow Set; all day.
armor? nah, kill 'em naked

It's hard to find poise in a "light" set. Ornstein's IMO is a medium set.

Also if you really want to roll fast you need to shoot for under 25% weight load. It has much less "recovery" time after a roll than mid-weight.

Plus if you have under 25% you can use the Dark Wood Grain Ring to go from fast roll to the ninja-flip, which has an obscene amount of i-frames.

You can try for the Lord's Blade Set, gives you 20 poise and it's pretty light weight imo.

light armor doesn't have poise.
the best light armor pieces are the dingy robe (best magic & lightning def in the game) + blood stained skirt (from the dingy set), and the tattered cloth hood + tattered cloth manchette (from the pyro starting gear). and yeah, they are worth upgrading.
the lord's blade set is medium weight gear.

I suggest you go with whatever looks great. With my current character, I'm wearing the Dingy Hood, Dingy Robe, Tattered Cloth Manchette and Wanderer Boots. Looks great. Don't care about stats.

stats wise without concern for poise or appearance, I was surprised by the results of upgrading the following: Xanthous waistcloth, DIngy robe, tattered cloth manchette, gargoyle Helm (the 8 poise for relatively light weight does play into liking the helm but its defenses are nice too.) I think the blood stained skirt has better stats than xanthous waistlcoth in most catagories other than physical defense, just couldn't bring myself to put a skirt on my guy lol

The Dingy set is underused and underated really.
