Black Knight won't drop anything???

I regretted at first to post this on the forum, thinking maybe it was just my luck, but after starting the game and killing the first black knight 7 times and STILL not getting the black knight greatsword, I thought I would try asking anyone else if they'd gotten it on the steam version. anyone?
I might also add I finished the game twice on the ps3 and got it both times. Would like to know if it's even possible as a drop on this version.

It's definately possible. But as with all drops the % chance is really low. Try having at least 1 humanity in your counter. The first point gives you a decent boost to drop rate. Why didn't you get your toon to the BK and then backup your save. It's a lot faster than simply starting afresh.

It's possible. Farming the knights in the Kiln should guarantee you it eventually.

Good to know, I will try with as much humanity as possible. You can backup a save? how's that? Is there another way to save in game?

Your drop rate can be increased with the Covetous Gold Serpent Ring (+200), the Symbol of Avarice (+200 these items don't stack with each other) and humanity (+210 at 10 humanity, this is the max) for a total item find of 410. This still doesnt gaurantee a drop but if your farming an area say for humanity you will really notice the difference.

Your save is a file held on your PC. Simply get to the BK and then take a copy. Kill the BK and if no drop replace your current save with the backup you took. Repeat as necessary. Personally i'm not sure the effort is worth it as I'm not keen on the BK weapons and they can all be obtained easily at endgame in the Kiln.

Well, When you start the game, the first black knight only drops the "Black knight sword" if that's what you're after. The 2nd knight drops the Greatsword.
