ESC menu and PC graphics settings?

hi im just wondering how to get the ESC menu (start menu) up without the use of the 360 controller. just using keyboard and mouse. even on the main menu of the game before i start the game there is no settings for graphics n stuff. how can i edit graphics to make sure they are all on highest settings. ESC button doesnt do anything, neither does backspace or anything. is there a way to bring up the menu with the keyboard so i dont have to alt-F4 out of the game?

You have to open your inventory and quit to the main menu.

In-game, I believe the key for the menu is END.

There are really not any settings to adjust unless you get a mod like DSfix, which I really recommend.

To get to the menu with a keyboard, use the num lock 0. I think. It is the only menu you can get at from the game.
But to change the resolution or other things, do use dsfix!
