Killing Patches (Spoilers)

So...an invader in the Catacombs somehow managed to kill Patches the Hyena, using a hack, I'm guessing.

Rhea hasn't appeared yet, because I'm doing the Catacombs early (Faith Build using a Holy Mace, so it's a cakewalk). How will this affect Rhea's quest? I still need her so I can get Great Heal and Wrath of the Gods...

If Patches dies before she goes to Tomb of Giants you will find her in Duke's Archives hollowed.

Damn, you are the 3rd or 4th person that has run into an invader that killed an NPC character... at least those that have posted about it. It's obviously going to become a bigger problem.

By the way, I suggest you set dsfix to backup the game file every 5 minutes (which is the lowest setting). If something like this happens, then you can restore the latest save and not lose much progress.

Well, she showed up in the Tomb of the Giants later, just like normal. With her two hollowed guards.

And after that, she went to the Undead Parish and sold spells like normal, with some slightly different dialogue (She doesn't mention Patches at all, saying she led them into the pit). I killed Petrus after speaking to her so he wouldn't kill her.

She disappeared after a couple of areas, though. So I'm assuming her story advanced and she went to Duke's Archives.
