Best (or smartest) path to go after Anor Londo
I was wondering what was the easiest or "best" path to go after getting the lordvessel. I made it though New Londo, but got stuck at the boss. Halfway though the tomb of the giants and my weapons weren't effective much, and can't even get into the archives or Demon Ruins. In any case, my weapon never held up (Lightning Spear +4) past those points. Any ideas where to start or what to use?

Four giants aren't too hard. Equip full havels, keep estus on standby and poise through their swings. They do crap for damage at close range. Also lightning spear isn't great, either. What build are you using? I;E, what are you focusing on? Str/dex/int?

You can't kill the boss in Tomb of the Giants until you acquire the Lordvessel in Anor Londo. If your stuck at Ornstein and Smough I would suggest attempting to kill Sif and then the Four Kings or simply summoning some extra help for Anor Londo.

My main's a caster, so 4K wasn't too difficult. Fire/Chaos weapons and light armour are recommended for 4K if you're melee-based.

i found it much better with a light build with high magic deffence and a +15 claymore.
much faster kill then my havel heavy build.

The lightning spear was great!... Until now. Never really focuson a build for that file. Every time I do, it turns out badly. I have a new build going for heavy armor and Pyromancy.
On another note, Havel's Armor is far too heavy and I did finish Anor Londo. (For perveious build.) Also, any tips for killing the ceaseless Discharge? Can't get close now that I attacked him.

It's heavy, but fine for that fight. Fat rolling isn't an issue. Run through the area, go to the fog-gates, then equip it once you're in.

Again this is just a cheap: "Ugh I'm just going to tank it" strategy. The fight's perfectly possible with lighter armor.

i'd advise you to at least focus on Str/Dex/Int because most weapons adhere to that because certain weapons get more powerful with certain stats. For Str I'd advise the Large Club / MSG, for Dex - Queelag's furysword / upgraded painted guardian sword / rapier/estoc of some sort for backstabbing/parrying. - For Int: Moonlight Horn / Moonlight greatsword / Enchanted weapon / +15 weapon with great magic weapon. - Faith build: Weapon of your secondary stat's scaling +15 with sunlight/darkmoon blade.

I'm sure it's just my weapon choice.

Depends on your character or preference.

I usually go Duke's Archives > Tomb of the Giants > New Londo > Lost Izalith

There is a small path in his 'room' that you can walk through. Just aggro the boss and sit in the center of it, watching for him to appear on the side of that is closest to the entrance. He will only attack with a swing down move at you. Just move to the side when you see his animation, run up to attack his arm, rinse and repeat. He's ridiculously easy if you do this.
