Those with Xbox360 controller issues read here! *FIXED*
Alright so most know that with certain games having a Belkin n52te or Razer version Nostromo, often causes issues with xbox360 controllers for PC.

Like many we know basically to just go into device manager>Human Interface Devices>Disable HID-compliant game controller.

Usually that is enough. If you attempt this and restart Dark Souls (or any other game you're having issue with.) And you are still not able to use your xbox360 controller properly here's what else you should do.

(Granted at this point I assume you've already checked to make sure your xbox360 controller is recognized by your computer, updated drivers blah blah.)

Now what you do from here is go through the rest of the Human Interface Device list and right click>properties for each. If they say in General Tab or Driver Tab anything about Razer (If it's not your Mouse), Belkin, n52te or Nostromo, go ahead and disable it.

What's happening is there are other devices listed in the menu that have been created because of whatever reason I assume by using your n52te/nostromo, and they all are directly related and need to be disabled for the xbox360 to work.

Follow this start of Dark souls (or whatever other game) and it shall work perfectly if you got all the devices. Makes sure you check all of them as some with the same exact name yet only one will be belkin/razer etc.

tl:dr (see above.. jk :P)

Device Manager>Human Interface Devices>Disable HID-compliant game controller.

Then go through every single Device in Human Interface Devices and Right click>properties

Then any that have Razer, Belkin, n52te, Nostromo in the general or Driver section then disable it.

Restart the game and happy trails.

NOTE: Your belkin/nostromo will still work even after disabling everything and simply unplugging it WILL NOT WORK.

Best Regards,
-Kes

Edit: Ignore the below text, it was as straight forward as right clicking and pressing "enable". I also found this https://steamcommunity.com/app/248310/discussions/0/610575007212573724/ to complement the original post.

Well, I have the same problem and it's not just Dark Souls...

While Rocket League will detect my original xbox 360 controller just fine, Sonic & All Stars will not (yes, I have run the configuration.exe first).

I am ready to give this a try, but as a newbie I'd like to know how to re-enable these HIDs once I have disabled them, just in case I ever needed to (I run devices like the Orbweaver etc. that I don't want to suddenly malfunction by doing this).

If anyone could answer that, I'd be really grateful.
