I guess I'm screwed...need advice...lol
Ok, I am frothing from the mouth and totally hooked. I am 6 hours in and I think I made a very bad and grave decision...level two, there is a merchant where I purchase some fire bombs and those have become essential for my strategy....ok....here is the problem....the merchant had one too many "tee hee hee hee's"....so I killed him.....now I am totally ♥♥♥♥ed without my precious fire bombs...this is probably unlikely hope....but can I bring him back to life.....I'll do anything to hear that "tee hee hee"....is mr merchant corpse done for good? anyone have any thoughts....other than telling me I am ♥♥♥♥ed....lol.....

He's dead for the rest of that playthrough, but there are other merchants later on that sell firebombs.

...almost made me cry :P

Anyway, I'm very sorry to say that, yes, you're kind of screwed in that regard --he won't be coming back until NG+. In general, murdering non-hostile NPCs is not advised, especially if you're at lower levels and don't have many options in terms of weaponry.

You can still get firebombs by killing firebomb-hurling hollows, but that's about that for now.

Later, at the Depths, you'll have the chance to help a guy that will teach you how to use Pyromancies, and once you get those you'll forget all about bombs; but that's still a ways off (you're like two bosses away from that point if I remember right).

So, in short, right now your options are:

1) Farm firebombs from bomber hollows (time consuming, but completely doable in the Burg, you have four of these guys very close to the bonfire and they have a decent drop rate).

2) Suck it up and change your strategy dramatically (probably not what you want to hear).

3) Start over and remember to treat NPCs more kindly :P

Start over. You will be amazed at how fast you catch up.

Or you could try going through the game without fire bombs, their usefulness wears out rather quickly.

Nah I'd keep going. Fire bombs aren't really that useful (may as well just go the pyromancy route) but even if you really wanted them you could just farm the firebomb throwing hollows in the burg. Just be careful not to kill the blacksmiths though - that could really screw you up :P

That merchant also dropped a decent sword that will be helpful at beginning levels
