What you may need to do for the xinput options is click save everytime before (or after) you load the game if you disconnected your controller at any point. That will autoforce the driver to emulate the PS3 con as a xbox one manually.
TLDR.
1. Plug in PS3 controller
2. in MotionJoy Select xbow controller emulation.
3. Click xbox controller emulation options.
4. Click save
5. Have fun with the game.
6. DO THIS EVERYTIME YOU PLAY THE GAME.
I have tried what you've suggested to no avail. I even went as far as trying to push the enable button and vibration test (which was successful), and even checked the Game Controller Panel to see if it was functioning properly and it is. Its gotta just be something with this one game. MADNESS!!
Go to Start menu/Control Panel/Device Manager
Open the Human Interface Device menu
Right click on any HID-compliant game controller and select Disable.
Re-start Dark Souls and Enjoy!
If you went through half the problems I have had getting this game to run today you would have thrown your computer out the window.
YOU SIR ARE A GOD!! I can finally play with my controller... I thank you. Sir. I shall repay you in the future my good friend :P
Thank you.
did i said i love u? cause i fkin do
I have re-installed the software numerous times, tried unplugging and reinserting in game, which makes no difference. Tried Playstation3 and Xbox 360 emulation, no luck with either. I have even tried the above, but once I have done that, I cannot see or calibrate the controller within windows, and still cannot use the controller in the game.
I have removed all extraneous USB devices and am definitely only using one pad. I am using DSfix, DSMfix and DSCfix. is there any possibility that the config for these can effect controller support?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
