How to join Darkwraith the easy way? (Have Lordvessel)

I have been hearing about people saying you can't join Darkwraith after getting the Lordvessel and also hear people say that it is easier to join Darkwraith after getting the Lordvessel?

No Lordvessel = you are required to kill a redman in New Londo Ruins

But I have the lordvessel as I have just completed Anor Londo.. How can I join the Darkwraith now? I intend to join only to get the Armorset and Darkhand.

Yeah, if you talk to him in the New Londo ruins after getting the Lordvessel he'll give you the key you need to fight the Four Kings, then provided you didn't talk to Frampt at Firelink after getting it, Kaathe will appear and let you join the covenant after placing the Lordvessel for him.

Step 1: Acquire the Lordvessel
Step 2: Warp to Undead Parish and make your way to the Great Grey Wolf Sif (You'll need the crest of artorias)
Step 3: Defeat the Great Grey Wolf Sif and head back to Firelink Shrine
Step 4: Ignore Frampt (The Serpent which appears after you have the Lordvessel), do NOT talk to him and head straight to New Londo Ruins
Step 5: Make your way to the "church" in New Londo Ruins, head to the roof and talk to the guy in there (the man in red)
Step 7: Since you have the Lordvessel, he will give you the key so you can open the door and proceed to Four Kings
Step 8: Proceed to Four Kings
Step 9: Equip your Covenant of Artorias (ring you got from Sif) and defeat Four Kings
Step 10: Providing you followed all the steps, upon defeat of the Four Kings, along with a Bonfire, another Primordial Serpent will appear. His name is Kaathe and he looks just like Frampt.
Step 11: Talk to him and say "Yes"

You're in the Darkwraith Covenant now.

Yeah, don't talk to Frampt. And by not talking, I mean don't WAKE him up if he's asleep. If you peek in and he's not asleep, then don't go near him Once he sees the Lordvessel he will automatically initiate the conversation that leads u to placing the Lordvessel.

Actually you get to Sif without getting the Crest of Artorias. Next to the waterfall at the Hyrda's place in Darkroot is a ladder that leads up to the area with the Forest Hunters.
Although it's quite a long walk.

If you placed the lord vessel with frampt (or on your own) then yes. If not then you're ok.
Either way second playthrough is very fast to get to Darkwraith cov. Just 5 bosses.

Please just make a new thread instead of reviving a thread from 3 years ago next time. People here have a tendancy to not read the entire thread before posting and blindly answer the first thing they see.

Anyway, you can join the dark wraiths by talking to Kaathe if you have not placed the lord's vessel. If it has been placed you cannot join the darkwraiths. To use the (cracked)red eye orb you must be in human form and be in an area that allows multiplayer. Most areas do allow it so that shouldn't be a problem. You can invade anyone that is 10% lower than your level all the way up to the max level (713 or something). You cannot invade anyone that has alreay killed the boss in their world or is in hollow form.
