Help. Can't access Artorias of the Abyss DLC

I followed these instructions at

Well have you tried reloading the game? Sometimes it's like that. Also, try summoning Dusk once to see if it changes anything too. Her summon sign is near the Knight Set loot, by the edge of the lake. You don't have to be human.

Lastly, are u sure you are at the right place? The Blue Golem is at the first crystal archer place, next to the dials and before the 1st Channeler, not at the first bonfire.

I got to the blue golen, i just wasnt going in deep enough at the dukes. i thought it was in the same room with the bonfire.
