Error 126? What do??
So after finally getting my key I was able to start up Dark Souls for the first time, create my own character and wander a few feet before I wanted to download and implement the keyboard/mouse and graphics mods I acquired from the pinned thread at the top of the forums page. After following all the directions as best as I could I attempt to start up the game and I get the error message stating:
"Loading of specified dinput wrapper failed with error 126: The specified module could not be found."

Halp pl0x?

Check again. You probably did not place some files from DSfix, ds mouse fix in the right location. I had this error awhile ago because I overlooked the installation steps.

Both dsfix and dsmfix09 are in the DATA directory. Do I have to take them out of their folders? They aren't zipped.

you take the three files from the dsmfix09 folder and put them into the DATA folder. There should only be one additional folder in your DATA folder and that is the DSFIX, nothing else.

Oh, that did the trick! I'm not very computer savvy when it comes to interacting with files of any sort. Thank you for your help C:

Hey idk if anyone can help me I had the error 126 too, then I did what Ronald said which was empty the dsmix folder into the data folder. It loaded up, and the mod actually did something So..
Before without dsfix/dsmfix installed my mouse would go all crazy and the camera would never be centered, i couldn't look left or right exactly, it was wierd. then I installed this and the camera is perfectly centered but I can't look in any directions, also my mouse 1 and 2 don't work to hit. H and U work but not m1 and m2

Error 126
Loading of specified dinput wrapper failed with error 126, that's what it shows when I try to play the game
