Undead Crystal Soldier Damage

I'm currently testing a dex build (16 STR and 45 DEX).

I have a gargoyle's halberd +15 and a great scythe +15 and the great scythe always outdamaged the gargoyle's halberd.

What surprised me is that when i tried backstabbing the Undead Crystal Soldiers in Duke's Archives, the great scythe dealt 454 damage and the gargoyle's halberd 469. The "R Weapon 1" Damage in my stats is 480 with the scythe and 441 with the halberd, so i'm curious... how is that possible?

higher thrust armor? i think they have more resistance to thrusting weapons like the great scythe (i think it does thrust but i might be wrong) than the regular type damage of the gargoyle halberd

hmm well if they have different damage type when backstabbing then that makes sense

Crystal enemies have high slash defense I believe, may explain why your scythe does less.

you got it backwards. halberds do pretty much 100% thrust
