Is it possible to get this version of Dark Souls in 2024? (On Steam)

I recently played through Dark Souls Remastered and it became my favorite game ever made. So I thought maybe I could give the OG version a shot but it’s no longer available. Any ideas? (NOT INTERESTED IN PIRACY WHAT SO EVER)

The only way to get it on steam is to buy one of the now limited keys from resellers, not sure what's the price rn but last time they were worth $100 USD upwards

Its mostly a collection item, as mentioned before keys are limited since the game is no longer being distributed so its up to you wether you pay for it or not.

Its the only way to have this game in steam however

You can buy new physical copies online which contain a steam key i think but they cost like $500. You can also just buy a 360 copy for like $20.

Yeah its unfortunate since theres no perfect way to play DS, either you get the original experience at 30 or a broken game at 60, or a downgraded version at 60

This game is worth no more than $30 and nothing will change my mind. Anyone who sells this for more than that has a problem.

You may think what you want and while the game was once $20 on the store the fact that its no longer being distributed inflates the price tremendously, once again, keys are limited, literally once they run out that's it forever, if you want it through legal means that's your only solution.

Or if you have an Xbox 360 or PS3 you could try getting a physical copy, those are usually a lore more affordable

I got a physical copy from ebay for 15 USD last week which still had the key somehow, it's hard to find though. Just definitely don't buy from digital websites. Physical copies are also overpriced but at least you get something physical too I guess
