Knight Lautrec of Carim summon sign not showing up

I am at the Gaping Dragon, I already summoned Solaire of Astora, but Lautrec´s sign is not where it should be? (I am human and yes i have freed him). Thx for advice

I woulnd't bother to summon them for Gaping Dragon, the IA is horrible for that fight, you will only incease Gaping HP w/o gaining any real help.

Other than that, did you talk to him at firelink? I can't remember the exact trigger that makes his sign appear there

Yes I talked to him and he said he would help. Really, "getting help" increases HP? I had no idea :-), thx for the tip. I was planning to use them as distraction, I am strugling to beat the gaping dragon solo :/

Once you get used to the fight you may find the Gaping Dragon to be one of the easiest fights. It just has a lot of health so it tends to be a fight of attrition. At the begining he usually does his charge attack which is easy to move to the side of and then he will stand still for a long time and you should go round and chcop off his tail. It doesn't take too much with the Drake sword. While dropping a weapon it also means you don't have to deal with his tail swipes as the rnage will be cut to very short. Just keep atacking his rear. Don't go further forward than his rear hip. If he tries to swipe you then you shouldn't be in the way of that and you can just move out of the way. If he jumps up in the air he usually just lands in the same spot just changing the directon he faces towards you so run away. Sometimes he will jump somewhere else and frequently I will end up running in the wrong direction and he will land on me one shotting me. Maybe I shouldn't have tried running in the opposite direction of him. If he does his acid vomit then just run away from it and it will travel fast towards his front but slow towards his rear so it is easy to avoid as long as you aren't trapped.

dont relay only on blocking. Try running to its back and hit him on the tail:)

Dual handed, no shield - unequip it for weight, and don't accidently fall off the waterfall edge like I did. After he does his gaping mouth slam to the ground, he will go to the exact spot you were standing in and stay there for awhile. Easy to get behing him and land 4 or five hits then run to another spot and wait for the gaping mouth slam again.

Avoid the vomit as it will totally degrade your weapon, so have another weapon on alt just in case. This boss is very easy once you know his moves.

After cutng the tail just get as far away as possible and stand still, he will walk forward a bit then do the slam, move in and attack his head(it does extra damage) when he gets up move quickly to the side and avoid the charge...repeat till dead....almost beats pinweel in the easietst boss catagory imo

Got him, once I learned his behavior patterns, it was a peace of cake. Easiest boss so far. Thx for the help

The easiest is the Butterfly from Dark Root Forest :D !
