I used Anastacia's fire keeper soul. Can I still reactivate bonfire?

So without knowing until later, I killed Lautrec and got the firekeeper soul, and then used it to reinfoirce my estus flask. So I kinda screwed up on that one. If I get another fire keeper soul, can I give that in to reactivate the firelink shrine bonfire, or is that permanetly gone now?

No, the soul you get from killing Lautrec is unique. You can't revive her with other souls.

You honestly haven't lost much, since you're going to have the ability to warp about soon. Maybe a bit more annoying to do the four kings.

Undead parish is still fairly close. Also, now that I've tried it, going with full havel makes the fight laughably easy in your first playthrough.

With the four kings thing, I tried to fight him once but lost and havent tried again yet. But what im just gonna do which doesnt really require the firelink shrine thing is just when I die just warp right away to firelink, then go down to new londo etc.

It really pisses me off how some people talk about this like "lol u idiot, u ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up".

The design of Dark Souls, and Demon Souls is unique in it's total relinquishing of tutorial to the player, but sometimes they really push it, and a soul that is "unique" whilst being identical to souls used for upgrading the Estus flask that even has the exact same flavour text encouraging it's use for upgrading is at best a deliberate trick to make the player's game more difficult, at worst an incredibly amateurish oversight.

It's not players who are idiots, honestly it is one of the rare instances of extreme idiocy, or extreme negligence on From Software's part.

The item descriptions of all firekeeper souls that belong to NPCs are different. They are not identical. In a game where reading item descriptions is often the only way to know where to go or what something does, not reading an item description, and not seeing the DIFFERENCE in that description, is in fact on the player, especially when considering that the game gives you an item to go RETRIEVE that firekeeper soul AT THE PLACE SHE DIED. You are wrong.

What does the firelink shrine have to do with the four kings ? Aren't you supposed to use the bonefire from the lower side of the woods on the side of the cliff ?( I mean the one you use before going in to the mouth of the cave that leads to the garden vegitation) then frm there You can just use the elevator to go the drake valley then make a b line to the kings. Right ? Or Is there a even faster way ?

Well the good news is you can still use Firelink, but you have to go to the lordvessel if you want to use a bonfire there which can be annoying.
