Yeah these dudes are really annoying. Their attacks home like crazy, and they're pretty fast too. I found the best way to take them out is to bait an attack, backroll, and then attack them. But since they have pretty high defense it usually takes a few hits to take them out.

I was putting the fact that he would go for tailcut in consideration. He never seems to let you get any hits from behind.

fastroll. always roll to the side for their overhead attacks, and roll towards the side they attack from with their sideways swings. rolling to the side avoids their first attack and gets you out of the way of the earthquake attack, and gives you lots of time to hit them. Same advice goes for artorias and manus, actually. Also, roll quickly to one side for thrust and running thrust attacks from Artorias, you don't want to get triplehit by that

Yes, been trying all of it, but saying is a lot easier than doing. Problem with this game is that there is no margin for error. Make one one mistake at the wrong time and you're toast.
