What armor are you wearing, and what is your total weight? Seath is Blind in Gameplay, but he isn't Deaf, he can hear your walking and running if you are heavy enough or wearing loud armors. Try replacing your chest armor with something like Thief or Shadow chest piece maybe?

Why not the Slumbering Dragon Ring if he's blind?

How'd you know he's blind?

"Lure Seath as close as possible to the crystal. It is ideal to kite Seath close to one of the walls, so that when he attacks with his breath, you have plenty of room to move around his other side. Once Seath is close enough to you he will pause and begin his breath attack; immediately run behind Seath. Run to his left side (= your right side), as he breathes his crystal breath from his right to his left. Seath will destroy the crystal with his own breath attack and be stunned temporarily. Without locking on to him, target the tip of his back (middle) tail and attack it while two-handing your highest damage weapon or using fast strong spells."

- from the wikidot wiki

also use weapons with a vertical slash like great scythe r1 or battle axe r2 or something

"Although the item description of the Six Eyed Helm of the Channelers notes that Seath is blind, avoiding making noise using the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring or casting Hush has no effect during the boss fight. However, this is because he attacks where you last attacked from." -Wikidot Wiki

Seath isnt deaf, but one way to keep him still is to kite his chrystal breath attack, and then run around to hit his tail (which is 15% of his health)

run to seaths crystal and and when he does his breath attack run to his tail and smash it, might not get it on first stunlock but make sure you hit the bigggest middle tail, not the outter ones

Okay, if Seath ISN'T blind in gameplay, then his AI screws up royally every time I fight him. Every time I fight him, I go below 25% weight use(supposed to be quieter then midroll or fatroll ranges), and make sure to have Shadow chest piece(player side, it IS quieter then some heavier stuff), and he ends up flailing about attacking a spot near him... for like a minute, before I get bored of watching him attack nothing.

It seems to me that he is blind in gameplay, but if he isn't... then my past experience is odd.

I originally heard that he was blind from Youtube user EpicNameBro, and making Seath blind in gameplay and story seems like the sort of thing that From Soft would do, compared to being blind in story alone.

so the slumbering ring does work untill you attack him , then it is obvious he will attack back

I have never gotten that ring, nor have I tried Hush, but unless I am consistently finding an AI error, yeah, he is blind and will attack back.

Thing is though, if he is blind in gameplay and it isn't an AI error on my side, Seath will eventually lose track of where you are, if you keep your distance, keep quiet, and don't constantly attack.

This isn't a fast method, but, again, if it isn't just an error on my end, it is a safe and consistent method.

ShinkuTear: I'm pretty sure you are getting an AI error. I'm always below 25% load and I've done a complete stealth playthrough with RoF and SDCR. Neighter have any effect on bosses, at leats when soloing.

Seaths attacks are pretty prone to missing anyway. He will hardly ever hit you with his breath and uses his melee attack at the wierdest of times. Really his only dangerous attacks are his explosion and the tail swipes.
Second easiest boss after Pinwheel, closely followed by Nito
