Holy Knight Build?
Hey guys,
so, I am not an expert at this game, especially at pvp. I wanted to try a new style of build as I only used a pure dex build in my other playthroughs. The one that really intreagued was like the strengh/faith build. Do you guys have any recommendations for what weapons/equipments/miracles to use? I am now on the Duke's Archives, using a Lightning Claymore +3 (just for Anor Londo) and some light equipment so I can do the flipping animation and using the FAP as my other ring. For miracles right now, I have the Sunlight Spear (the easier one to get), Heal and Homeward.
My intention with this build is to finish the entire game, including the DLC and try some basic pvp on the way.
Any tips would be really appreciated!
Thanks (PRAISE THE SUN!)

Manserpent greatsword. Get Sunlight/Darkmoon blade and wrath of the gods too.

manserpent? Regular upgrade path?
What equipment do you recommend?

Yes, you can only use the sunglight/darkmoon blade buffs on normal weapons (ones not upgraded via elemental/divine/etc. paths). The Manserpent sword scales really well with strength and has a fairly fast attack moveset compared to other greatswords.

Hmm.. okay, I will certanly try it out...
Could I use the Greatsword of Artorias instead?
I love his character (probably can tell by my profile pic...) and always wanted to use his sword.
Is it too inpracticle or not?

I have a faith knight as my main and I love it. Fully upped normal Claymore, katana and gold tracer, Wrath of the Gods, sunlight buff and Tranquil Walk of Peace. I used heavy armor and did fine even in PvP.

I'm not sure if you can use the spell buffs on Artorias' sword. I'm thinking probably not. That said, they aren't necessary. So if you'd enjoy using his sword more then have at it. Of course you need 20 int to wield it so that might eat up some stats you'd otherwise spend elsewhere.

Can't buff Arto sword. It has wretched high stat requirements, damage is split into magic and physical, and a horrible moveset for pvp - would not recommend. People stop around SL100-120s for pvp, Arto sword is mostly a weapon you see on guys who are SL300+, because it has 4 stat scalings.

Man-serpent GS is really good, you want a fast enough weapon if you're buffing, and it's similiar to the claymore which you're apparently comfortable with so far.

A few to try: Pickaxe, Large Club, Great Club, Greataxe and the Dragon Bone Fist. All can be buffed and have good str scaling. If you have 16 dex you can also use the Obsidian Greatsword which is a passable buff weapon.

Hmm, okay, what I will do the is for pve i will use the artorias greatswors and whenever i do pvp i will use the M-S GS, I tried it and yeah, it is pretty good.
Edit: Although it wouldn't be a good idea to use that sword if I wanna try pvp right?
I would invest abunch of levels in stuff I won't use...

Go to mugenmonkey and make a build there, or find one people post their builds quite often.
