Divine, or Occult?
My character is a paladin-style character. In fact, I plan on making him look like Leeroy! I just have a question. I've made the Lucerne into a Divine weapon, but I'm curious which would be better for someone with 30 Faith, Divine+10, or Occult+5?

Divine +10
It takes very high faith for the difference in Scaling to become better than the base damage of Divine.

For a reference, on my faith build I use the bastard Sword. It took until level 80 faith for my Occult +5 to outdamage my Divine +10

Jeez. Well, alright. I'll farm a new slab, and respec mine.

I'm not sure what difference it will make if you have Str/Dex leveled though, since I didn't level those up until much later in my playthrough.
So you could try experimenting as well, since you'll need 50 str for the grant anyways(assuming you want to 1h it)

What else have you maxed in Divine/Occult? You get 2 slabs per playthrough for free.

You do? I thought the only 'free' White Slab was in the Tomb, and the rest you had to farm from the Pinwheel Servents.

There is also one in the Chasm of the Abyss in the DLC area. You'll need to have defeated artorias to get it.
occult only works vs god like enemies like gwyn gwyndolin ornstein(?)

From what I've read Occult only surpasses Devine when you invest significant points in strength and dex (depending on the weapon) due to it having more physical damage versus magical. If you're going mostly Faith and keeping your strength/dex at the bare minimal levels to equip your weapons then you're better off with Divine.

And, yes, Occult does do more damage to most of the enemies in Anor Londo and Gwyn but I think it's only about a 10% modifier... and you can beat them with any solid weapon including a Divine one.

Occult has better physical damage, divine has better magic. The difference between them is negligible.
You can use this to calculate weapon AR: http://mugenmonkey.com/darksouls/weapons

All I know is, my Enchanted Falchion+5 FAR out-damaged the Magic Falchion+10 I made, when I had a characer with 50-int. I would assume the same is true for the Occult vs Divine, but since my character only has 30 Faith, I'd imagine a Divine Lucerne+10 would be stronger than an Occult Lucerne+5, now that I think about it.

Yes. Again it's either an emphasis on physical or magic-based damage. If you have good str/dex then Occult will probably win in the long run. If you don't, then Divine. But like axel said: the difference isn't very significant.
