It takes very high faith for the difference in Scaling to become better than the base damage of Divine.
For a reference, on my faith build I use the bastard Sword. It took until level 80 faith for my Occult +5 to outdamage my Divine +10
So you could try experimenting as well, since you'll need 50 str for the grant anyways(assuming you want to 1h it)
What else have you maxed in Divine/Occult? You get 2 slabs per playthrough for free.
You do? I thought the only 'free' White Slab was in the Tomb, and the rest you had to farm from the Pinwheel Servents.
There is also one in the Chasm of the Abyss in the DLC area. You'll need to have defeated artorias to get it.
And, yes, Occult does do more damage to most of the enemies in Anor Londo and Gwyn but I think it's only about a 10% modifier... and you can beat them with any solid weapon including a Divine one.
You can use this to calculate weapon AR: http://mugenmonkey.com/darksouls/weapons
