DSFix for Steamworks update

It worked on Windows 7... Now I have 8.1 and the Steamworks update...
The game starts with the problem it wont even start... Tried to remove the DSFix and it run'ed okay....
But its unplayable, horrible quality...
Anyone got a solution?

So the issue is with the DSfix then... Well sh*t :/

You can "play" it without DSFix.

"Playable" = 30 fps wth drops to 15.

Wait for the DSfix update. For me everything works except unlock fps (which makes the game unplayable) and antialiasing. Texture override works and i haven't got any crashes with DCfix. Not that it matters because DCfix doesn't work without GFWL anyway till it's updated.

Nah I rather wait... But omg... How bad of a port is it anyways? And why not go with the modders to include the DSFix with main game anyways... Can't be that difficult

you can play with DSFix but you just can't enable 60FPS
Downsampling and SMAA and so on still works

From what I read, there is a person who posted the information to durante (via his forum) outlining what changed with the FPS unlock. I would imagine that we will be back to "normal" by the end of the week.

I barely tried the game with GFWL because I never been into something so unstable as that.

It does work.

Disable fps unlock and disable skipintro as well if it still doesn't start.

If it doesn't work, download dsfix again and use the default dsfix.ini file coming with DSfix and start modifying that again.

how you make dsfix work in default, i cant even use dsfix without crash at startup

@Fuzhkah Delete all of the DSFix files....

Durante said it would take too much time to unlock the FPS, but you will still get glorious graphics otherwise.

"The Dark Souls Steamworks migration update is now live. As I expected, most DSfix functionality I implemented (which is based on API call interception) remains operational, but the framerate unlocking (based on binary hooks) does not work with the new version. This part was implemented by Nwks, so we should hope that he is still around and interested in updating it for the latest version. If not, I can try, but it lies outside my expertise and could potentially take a lot of time (which I’d rather spend on other projects). Of course, there’s also the chance for anyone else to step in, as all the code is available on github.
