He used Steam Achievement Manager. I wouldn't really call it cheating since achievements aren't worth anything in Steam (unlike PSN or Xbox Live that ranks you). I know a few people who automatically unlock all the achievements before they start a game so that they aren't distracted by little popups at the bottom right.

I mistook overall playtime with last-2-weeks one then. Anyway he obviously cheated these achievements.

Not related to the particular person in question, but I've played in steam offline mode quite a few games and achievement sometimes come up according to savefile once you come into online mode, but in some games they wont. Also steam offline mode won't restrict you from playing DS1 online via GFWL as of now, so yeah... Basing your assumptions solely on steam-stats would be very inaccurate (e.g. in my case and people who play it that way as well).

Though yes, in his case, I'm almost positive that he cheated them up, despite I believe he has them on gfwl side done to back-it up. After spending 1k+ hours one would have to try VERY hard to avoid unlocking most, if not all of them. See, some people are just impatient with the migration...no need to point a finger though.

Achievements are just a vanity in general. They are as valuable or serious as you want them to be. By no means achievements entitle you to anything, or make others see the worth in them the way like you do. Just my two cents.

The example player I posted has 355 "perfect games" out of 433 they own. ALSO per their community page they have completed 0% of the games they own. Sure they are using a 3rd party program no doubt. I would call that a cheat.

0% completion in the profile is just an error in database, most likely a product of valve's shoddy coding. My friend here has it too, and I guarantee that he is legit: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198022377661/

Pouting about achievements and similar "issues" are least of the problems this game has, as I see it.

I am not pouting, just pointing out that the recent "0.1%" of global stats achieved can be traced back to "players" using a 3rd party program to skew results.

Unlocking achievements won't get you VAC banned unless you're stupid enough to use SAM while playing a VAC Secured game.

Guys its obvious he is using steam achievement manager. Look at his 100% games. Every one he unlocked the achievements at same time.

I played some games offline like blasphemous and tails of iron on my steam deck, and when i got online achievements unlocked all at the same time and also ive got 0 hours played... When i played offline on my notebook achievements unlocked the same day that ive got them, but still hours of playing didnt count, just for info guys
