you can't, simple answer to a simple question. Experiment with the moves on each weapon, DS2 has an agility stat but DS1 does not

I think both of you were meaning the same: bigger weapons - more damage - more weight - slower attack speed
Pretty sure Agility in DkS2 doesn't affect attack speed though, it gives you more I-frames while rolling.
If you play around a little with the moveset of a zweihander and and a falchion, the differences are so obvious, I don't think you need a stat for it.

You never knew about that because he made it up. :D

There isn't any stat or correlation to weapon speed.
You just need to test it yourself with every weapon, ofc bigger=slower.

DEX improves only spell cast speed and bonus from dex scaling.

There really isn't a way to check weapon speed aside from trying the weapon yourself. For example, ultra class weapons are split between 2 swing speeds with zwei being in that faster subset. Greatswords are similar in that too. Clay and bastard are in the faster subset for greatswords.

Each weapon has its own move-set. In some types of weapons is simila, with variations depending of the weapon. The best way to learn is testing the weapons but you should understand than neither the damage is not decisive nor the speed. The best way to go is finding a move set you love and feel confortable with. It kinda determinates your playstyle.

It doesn't work like that here, You will see on weapon stats screen there will be letters, when you open help on stats screen you will know which image is what stat, letters are scaling with nothing being worst (no bonus at all) then E being next to nothing to S which is the best. If there's no letter then don't bother lvling that stat for because it won't help at all.
