About to enter New Londo Ruins. Any Advice?

I'm getting ready to start on New Londo Ruins and i'm looking for any useful advice or tips before I make my journey.

Current Gear:
+10 pyromancy (Combustion, Great combustion, fire orb, Great Fireball on standby for attune)
+3 Elite Knight set (Havel, Stone, Black Iron on standby)
Greatshield of Artorias (Eagle greatshield as secondary)
+10 Man-Serpent Greatsword (I have +10 claymore, Zweihander, Uchigatana, Warpick, as backup)
Ring of Favor and Protection
Ring of Steel Protection

And most of my leveling went into Strength and Stamina. (34 strength at the moment, few points into HP, small amount into Dex for katana)

Any tips or advice concerning gear, level, or how to deal with ghosts are welcome.

Pick transient curse - don't rush (unless you plan to rush all the way to the end).

Beware of the big building where whats-his-face is, after the ghosts that stab through the floor. I'd suggest getting a polearm like the Pike or Hableard for the ones that come out of the water. Other than that, take it slow, Don't rush or you'll get surrounded and die

Already have a +10 halberd ready. Ill be sure to use it.

Your gear is probably better than the average player's so you shouldn't have any problems.

There's an ember in New Londo, you should definitely search for it once you reach the later parts of it. It will make all the future bosses a lot easier.
