Tips for Kalameet?

gosh i just dont get it... im trying my best to dodge but i cant get him down to more than like a 8th of his life ._. maybe some tips? or add me if you want to help me with him cause after 20 tries without guide and guides didnt tell me anything that i didnt knew before... maybe some tips from the community? i just dunno what to try anymore i tried staying at range but that takes like forever...
im using a Dex/faith build with light armor and sunlight blade doesnt help long enough so i switched to a gold tracer but that didnt really help...

Grab a friend. Thats how I did it. He cna only ever target one of you. Play defensive if he does target you. The only real dangerous move is the one where he flys up and breathes down on the field at this point.

As for weapon choice, I was DEX/INT with crystal magic weapon, deals significant damage on falchion.

Lost all my SL90+ characters when GFWL dropped Darksouls. So i cant help you. i'm just remembering my fight with kalameet. Me and my friend had to team him and even then, we died quite a few times before we got his pattern down. He is a bish, not lying there.

I do low level runs now, anywhere from 10-50

Jaw Snaps: Roll towards him, get under him.

Flying attack: break lock and roll side ways.

Flying Flame Breath: Break lock and run away as fast as possible. Don't roll as this consumes stamina too quickly, leaving you vulnerable once he lands.

Sit up Flame breath: Break lock and run towards his left leg

Grab attack: Roll AWAY from him unless you are right up against his face. This usually dodges it while the hitboxes when dodging to the side are a little sketchy at times. DON'T PANIC if this hits you, the debuff doesn't last very long.

Stomps: Roll away, but avoid his back legs where the stomps have deceptively long reach.

Running attack where he spins around and breathes flame: break lock and run away, rolling isn't quick enough if he is close enough.

Tail Spin: Just Block it if you have a half decent shield.

Tail slam: Try not to roll too early, as this attack has deceptive tracking sometimes.

I've beaten kalameet several times on NG+ and he's easily one of the hardest bosses in the game, but also one of the most fun once you get the dodge timing's down.
As for not dealing a lot of damage, his resistances to anything but lightning are a nightmare, so sunlight blade on a good, fast weapon is your best bet. Otherwise, it's a war of attrition, so make sure you've got 20 estus.

Another approach is wearing fully upgraded medium armor (to be able to roll) along with Havel's shield. You can block almost everything that way. Some fire attacks and the Calamity attack need to be rolled away from. If you don't have the 50 STR for the shield, you can try Artorias' shield as well, that one also has high stability, though lower stats. Use a weapon which is able to reach far, a BK halberd is a good one.

The strategy is staying close, in front of him. Block his attacks, then hit him once. Then lower the shield for stamina regen, then repeat. Roll away from fire and Calamity and drink estus or attack while he's doing these.

This is how I beat him past NG7 and it works. Last time I even did it on the first try.

i solo'd him on NG+ , just keep mid-range and whenever he does his breath attacks, which are easy to dodge, charge in and go for few attacks then go back, rinse and repeat - takes a while but its the best way imo.
