Do I need int and faith for Cursed Greatsword of Artorias?

I have needed strength and dexterity, according to scaling calculator the damage doesn't scale with int and faith.
Does that mean that I will have no penalty to damage when using it without meeting those requirements?

You will have penalty, you need to meet full stats req to wield it properly that's why it's considered a weapon for 200+SL because you will deal better dmg with any other viable weapon.

int and faith have no effect on its damage - even at 10 and 16 (and 40/40), it actually comes with slightly better attack rating and actual damage than the claymore. it gets deflected with every hit thats not a backstab/riposte though. so it might help you if you are completely out of transient curses, but is almost useless for regular combat.
oh, and if you plan on getting 34+ str at some point before ng+, GET THE SHIELD FIRST. even having to get cursed so you can farm ghosts for transients is worth eighty flipping eight stability + 100% physblock + 80% fireblock.

since the cursed Greatsword is pure physical damage, Int and Faith are only requirements for wielding it, it does not scale at all because there is no magic damage for it to augment. So a cursed Greatsword build would only be 40/40/20/20.

If you want to really min/max, youd use the serpeant greatsword and a magic buff, doesnt need dex, or even a 40/40/32 for a buffed claymore. But both of those lose massive style points for using the CGSoA xD
